BULGARIA. Second Empire. Ivan Aleksandar, 1331–1371. Gros (Silver, 21 mm, 1.14 g, 6 h), with Michael Asen IV, 1331-1355. Christ standing facing before seat, raising both hands in benediction; in field to left, IC over monogram; in field to right, XC over monogram. Rev. Ivan Aleksandar standing facing on the left, holding cruciform scepter in his right hand, and Mihail Asen IV standing facing on the right, holding cruciform scepter in his left hand; both holding christogram-tipped staff flanked by stars between them; in lower fields to left and right, monograms. Raduchev-Zhekov 1.13, 3-6. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, very fine.
